Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
The first installment of the Starcraft II trilogy, Wings of Liberty will unlock the Terran campaign.
Why trilogy you may ask. Well, Blizzard commented that they "wants to ensure that the Starcraft 2 experience will fulfill fan's expectations and do not want to rush the whole game out which might lead to bugs and errors."
Hmm... that makes sense... but it means that we players have to spend more greens to get all 3 installments!!
The 3 installments will be named Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void respectively.
Anyway, StarCraft II will support the DirectX 9 (Pixel shader 2.0) software and will be fully compatible with DirectX 10 as well, although the development team has not yet decided whether to add exclusive DirectX 10 graphic effects. Rejoice for us lowly paid players with half-past-six PC!! We still can play Starcraft II despite lousy specs.
Further good news for those campaign lovers, unlike the original series, where each game had three 8-10 mission campaigns, one for each race, each game in the StarCraft II trilogy will have only one 26-30 mission campaign centered around a single race.
Whoa!! That's a lot of missions to deal with
All in all, no matter campaign lovers or not, Wings of Liberty will have all 3 races at your disposal in the Skirmish mode, so no fret Skirmish fans!! We all will be awaiting Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty arrival
